Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays to show loved ones how much they mean to me. And what better way to show that love than through homemade treats?! These Valentine Pretzel Kisses are a great Valentine treat to make. They are incredibly simple, look pretty and taste even better!

My kids love helping me make these Valentine Pretzel Kisses (they are usually the Hershey Kiss unwrappers 🙂 ). And since they are boys, it always ends up being a race to see who can open the most of them in the shortest amount of time. Any boymoms that can relate to that? 😉
Ingredients
- One bag of Snyder’s Checkerboard Pretzels
- Hershey Kisses
- Holiday M&M’s
- Wilton Heart Candy Decorations
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 170 degrees.
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Place pretzels down on the parchment paper in rows (I usually do about 20 at a time).
- Place an unwrapped Hershey Kiss on top of each pretzel.
- Bake in the oven for 5 minutes, 30 seconds.
- Take out of oven and immediately press one M&M into the center of each Hershey Kiss.
- Place in the refrigerator (or a cold area) to cool off before taking them off the parchment paper.

There is one thing to note about making these pretzel kisses. The amount of time they are in the oven is crucial. Trust me, I have made these enough times that I have the oven temperature and time down to a science. 😉 If they bake for too long, the chocolate becomes cracked and dry. If they bake for not long enough, you aren’t able to press the M&M in as far to make the chocolate spread out.
I know that oven temperatures can vary slightly, but try 170 degrees for 5 minutes and 30 seconds and let me know how it works out for you. The pretzel bag sometimes has a recipe for these on it, but I do NOT go by that recipe anymore.
If you want to change things up and use something else besides M&M’s for the center, Wilton has a great variety of edible decorations that fit perfectly for these treats.
